Soul Cypher

After a forced kiss leaves a suitor dead, Lady Constance Eliot receives an anonymous note threatening to expose her secret: her naked touch kills.  She nurtures the hope of discovering a cure for her unusual condition while pursuing her private investigation, until she stumbles on a body killed by means clearly more than human and realizes the danger has intensified.

To save the family reputation and secure her freedom, Constance must unravel damning secrets all while evading the sharp-eyed attentions of the handsome Inspector Cage Graham who knows far more of the unnatural mystery than he is letting on.  When the inspector’s questions become too personal, she does the unthinkable and slaps him with her ungloved hand.  Cage is unaffected.  He may be the only man for her, if not for the issue of murder that lies between them.

All clues point to the Eliot family and Inspector Graham is loathe to convict the one woman who fulfills his every expectation, but her protestations of innocence may mean little when an evil entity is intent on her destruction.
